Ansar Asir Mollik, a valiant Freedom Fighter, went to eternal rest at the age of 66 years on 24 March 2010. The historical guard of honour to the first government of Bangladesh on 17 April 1971 at Mujibnagar was tributed by 12 valiant Ansar members.

Asir Mollik was born in 1 May 1944 at at Bhberpara village under Mujibnagar Upazila at Meherpur. He was literate upto class V. His occupation was cultivation. In 1962 he joined Ansar Bahini at the age of 22 years and received Ansar Training at the then Meherpur Sub Division. He participated in the War of Liberation in 1971. During his death, he left his wife, 3 sons and 2 daughters at his family. Bangladesh Ansar & VDP is always proud of this hero.
